The Uwch Gwyrfai Common Sustainable Management Scheme administered by Snowdonia National Park Authority together with the Graziers Association aims to plant native Welsh deciduous trees in areas on the common.
One of the requirements to plant trees on the common is to consult with local residents. Everyone living within 200m of a proposed planting area has received a letter from SNP. See map attached.
There is a target to plant a total of 6 hectares over the common. To put this into context this equates to 0.6% of the commons area. In this case hedges are proposed
If there is any objection to the proposed planting work your comments must be sent to the Park by 01/10/2020. If there is no objection to the planting scheme the Park will assume that you are happy with the plan and will proceed
