National Eisteddfod  - Llyn & Eifionydd 2023

The 2023 National Eisteddfod  will be held in Boduan, near Pwllheli during August 2023. The Eisteddfod was due to be held there in August 2021, but was postponed due to Covid.

In December 2019 the Eisteddfod Office set a financial target for the Llandwrog area of £5,000 (see letter dated December 2019) and a public meeting was convened  at Groeslon Village Hall on 10 March 2020 to set up a Local Appeal Committee for Llandwrog, Groeslon, Carmel and Fron to strive to raise funds to reach that target. Soon after the meeting though  the pandemic struck and no activity has taken place since.

The Eisteddfod Office has now been in contact with the Community Council (10/2/22) confirming that the target of £5,000 still stands. Officers of the Local Appeal Committee will be in contact shortly to resume the Appeal Committee.

The Community Council is likely to contribute towards the target but the Council has not yet decided what that level of contribution will be.
