Exterior Wall Insulation (EWI) Warm Homes Scheme Program in Carmel and Fron
Perhaps you may have seen the story on the BBC a few days ago that the Welsh Government and Bridgend County Council are funding repairs to 104 houses in Caerau, Maesteg on a housing insulation scheme that was carried out back in 2012/13. It appears the Welsh Government has allocated £2.55million and Bridgend County Council a further £850,000 for repairs to the homes affected in Caerau..
Sian Gwenllian MP and County Councilor Dilwyn Lloyd must therefore be asked to press again on the Welsh Government and Gwynedd Council to carry out a full investigation into the scheme undertaken at Carmel and Fron, and to fund any deficiencies in the work that was carried out .
Siân Gwenllian and the Community Council have brought the matter to the attention of the Government on a number of occasions but no promise has been forthcoming to fund the deficiencies.
Residents who are have damp and water ingress in their properties, or problems with rendering (other than discolouration) are asked to contact the Community Council or Plaid Cymru Office with photos of the problems. The Community Council email address is info@landllandwrogcouncilcymru.wales
