Community Orchard, Clwt Foty, Carmel

The Uwch Gwyrfai Common Sustainable Management Scheme administered by Snowdonia National Park Authority together with the Graziers Association aims to plant a community orchard on the site shown on the attached map.
One of the requirements to plant trees on the common is to consult with local residents. Everyone living within 200m of a proposed planting area has received a letter from Parc Eryri. See map attached.

This site has been designated as an appropriate site for planting a community orchard because of its proximity to the village which enables residents to use the orchard, it is common land and is not in agricultural use.
The community orchard will include fruit trees that do not grow high to minimize visual impact. It must be ensured that local residents have no firm objection to the proposed works.

If there is any objection to the proposed planting work your comments must be sent to the Park by 01/10/2020. If there is no objection to the planting scheme the Park will assume that you are happy with the plan.
