Canolfan Lleu Vision Document

It’s a pleasure for Grŵp Cynefin to share with you the vision document for the proposed Canolfan Lleu project in Pengroes. Grŵp Cynefin is proud to be leading on this ambitious project, with our partners, Gwynedd Council, the Health Board and Theatr Bara Caws.

You will already be aware of the project and we appreciate your interest and support towards discussing the scheme. Local support is key to our success in attracting funding and creating an innovative, ground-breaking centre in the heart of Penygroes, for the benefit of all the communities of the Nantlle Valley. 

The Canolfan Lleu Vision Document  is a substantial document that is the result of years of consultation to understand the needs and aspirations of Dyffryn Nantlle’s communities, developing a  business case and how the partners and communities can work together.

In brief, the aim of Canolfan Lleu is to;

•             strengthen communities across the Nantlle Valley

•             support people's health and wellbeing through a range of traditional and preventative services including a GP surgery

•             create a place to socialise and connect peoples with each other, including office spaces and a theatre

•             strengthen the local economy

If realised, Canolfan Lleu will push boundaries, break new ground in collaboration and hopefully inspire other communities in Wales to take the same approach.

We look forward to hearing your feedback to the document and will be in touch for further discussion.

The document will be available to the wider public from next week, on the Grŵp Cynefin website, hard copies from Siop Griffiths, Penygroes or by e-mail canolfanlleu@grwpcynefin.org  We therefore ask you kindly not to share the document until next week and the wider release.
